Author, Carla Swafford, will be presenting a simple process for authors to break down their story with 'beats.' In turn, they'll discover the right starting point in their book, prevent sagging middles, and dragging story lines. The program is based on Blake Snyder's Save the Cat! Suggestion only: Attendees should be (not required) familiar with the movie Pretty Woman as it will be used as an example.
